You have probably heard the Confucius quote “choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life.” Well, Danielle Benyik took this advice and left the corporate jungle to pursue her dream.

She was working on Wall Street, but her passion for fitness inspired her to start a wellness career instead. So, she started as a fitness trainer.

“When I was training my personal clients, I came alive. I was juggling between my patients at a rehabilitation facility and training my personal clients. I knew I needed the time and space to let my creative juices flow. I wanted to grow and explore what I could do in my own personal studio,” said Benyik to Siilive.com.

This led her to open the B3 Fitness Studio in Staten Island this month. The health-conscious movement is in full swing, so the fitness market becomes more competitive. But, Benyik’s goal is to offer something a bit different than other studios. “My sessions are anything but typical. I also incorporate Power Plate, which is an amazing piece of equipment that makes your muscles work 25 to 50 times more than doing an exercise off the Power Plate,” said Benyik. “I work until we complete our work out. It isn’t just a half hour session, we work until I say stop. I just really stress in my sessions that we’re training the mind and body connection to gain balance.”

Her goal is to provide a more personal experience with ongoing communication with trainees, such as sending check-in texts a few days following the workout.

But, it doesn’t stop there. A healthy diet is more than half the battle when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. So, their client’s exercise routine shouldn’t be the only focus of a good fitness instructor. “With my clients, I help them learn how to eat healthy. I help to see what works for them and their lifestyles individually, because not one person is the same,” said Benyik.

Living a healthy life will often involve some coaches whether it be mentally or physically. And, if you are on the hunt for a fitness coach, make sure they express a similar passion for wellness like Benyik.
